Science

Research conducted by scientific and academic staff of the Institute’s academic departments provides the basis for new knowledge in pedagogy, psychology, sociology, physical education and other fields of science associated with health technology, sports and youth policy.

The Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy is the leader in sports science development in the Ural region, offering the advanced scientific knowledge to athletes, coaches, Ural region sports officials, and students.

Research of highly qualified athletes’ functional, technical and psychological state makes it possible to develop sports models and identify advantages and disadvantages of training

systems. A unique advantage of the Institute is in its considerable experience in youth problems research, which allows to implement the resource-based approach in youth management.

University is a platform for active scientific communications. The outcomes of scientific research are regularly discussed at international and national scientific conferences regularly held by the Institute. The materials of the scientific events are published in the electronic scientific archive of UrFU (elar.urfu.ru).
